Для кращого розуміння ситуації, яка склалася для жіночих ОГС, структура ООН Жінки провела швидке опитування, з метою інформування національних та міжнародних зацікавлених сторін під час прийняття рішень, а також сприяння підтримці ОГС під час війни. Опитування проводилось онлайн та розповсюджувалось через наявні соціальні мережі структури ООН Жінки в період з 4 по 10 березня 2022 року. Відповіді надали 67 організацій громадянського суспільства з усієї країни.

Rapid Assessment: Impact of the War in Ukraine on Women’s Civil Society Organisations

UN Women has conducted a rapid survey to help inform the decision-making of national and international stakeholders, and advocate for the support of civil society during the war. The survey was distributed online through UN Women networks, between March 4th and March 10th and received responses from 67 civil society organizations from across the country. The information in this report also includes findings from group consultations organized between UN Women and women CSOs with participation of the national gender machinery.

Reporting on Sexual Violence in Conflict

Few journalistic challenges carry a greater weight of responsibility than interviewing survivors of sexual violence that occur in conflict. When rape is used in war, it has a devastating impact on individuals and their communities. Responsible journalism can bring attention and insight to crimes that people have difficulty finding adequate words for. Careless reporting, however, can make things worse by adding to distress and exposing survivors to further danger. These guidelines are written by journalists and filmmakers who regularly work on CRSV related issues. They emerge from a recognition that as a collective enterprise journalism needs to do more to define and share best practice. The goal is to achieve more accurate and insightful reporting, while reducing the risk of further harm to those brave enough to tell their stories. Ukraine: Armed conflict and displacement heightens risks of all forms of sexual violence including trafficking in persons, say UN experts

The UN Special Rapporteur on trafficking in persons, especially women and children, Ms. Siobhán Mullally, the UN Special Rapporteur on violence against women, its causes and consequences, Ms. Reem Alsalem, and the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict, Ms. Pramila Patten, today expressed serious concerns at the heightened risks of sexual violence, especially trafficking in persons, impacting significantly women and children fleeing the conflict in Ukraine and forcibly displaced.
